About CMI

CMI was established with the objective of exploring the possibilities and commercializing the results of research conducted at the University of Virginia (UVa) to develop advanced engineered materials. CMI holds an exclusive world wide license to this technology through an agreement with the University of Virginia Patent Foundation. Since its founding in 2001, CMI has actively partnered with a number of government agencies and private companies to evaluate the viability of Microtruss™ in a wide variety of applications.
